What's the right way to make RightRice?

RightRice is easy to cook in a saucepan in about 10 minutes.

We’re happy to say RightRice is faster (and easier) to cook in a saucepan than traditional rice. Get started with our instructions below.  Keep in mind: since our grain is packed with vegetables, it doesn’t cook the same as regular rice in appliances (see below).

Saucepan

To cook the entire pouch, use 1 ⅓ cups of water.

(Or, 1 cup water for each cup of RightRice®)

Best to use a regular saucepan. Before trying another appliance, check out the cooking info at RightRice.com/cook.

In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil

Add RightRice®,

immediately
remove from heat,

and cover

Let stand covered

off heat for

10 minutes 

(12 for flavored rice)

Fluff with a fork, let sit 2-3 more mins, and enjoy

Season Original RightRice with your favorite spices or just a bit of salt. Or try one of our already seasoned flavors. For even more savory flavor, replace the water with your favorite broth.

No rice cooker.
No Instapot.
No Need.

Since RightRice is packed with vegetables, we haven’t found a way to cook it in rice cookers or Instapots. And because it’s so easy to cook in a saucepan, you don’t have to.

 So, you want to try anyway, huh? If you manage to cook RightRice the right way in anything other than a saucepan, let us know. We’d love to know how you did it (how'd you do it?!).
